J-PLASMA | RENUVION

NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT

J-PLASMA  (RENUVION) NON-SURGICAL

FACE LIFT HOUSTON

In time, gravity, sun exposure, and the stresses of daily life take their toll on our faces and necks. Deep creases appear beside the mouth, the jaw line slackens and becomes jowly, and the neck develops loose folds and fat deposits. Face lifts counteract these signs of aging by tightening muscle, removing fat, and trimming excess skin, giving your face a fresher, youthful look. After surgery, some patients look 10-15 years younger.

What can a Renuvion Non-Surgical Face lift do for me?

Renuvion, powered by J Plasma is like pushing the “reset” button on your skin. Surgical facelift procedures can lift and “reposition” skin on your face to create a younger look, but there are many down sides including cost and recovery time. Additionally, a surgical facelift does not resurface the skin, and you are left with the same, discolored and damaged skin. Renuvion, on the other hand, both dramatically contracts the skin as well as completely removing the damage you’ve accumulated on your skin over the years.

J-Plasma Pros:

  • Non-surgical – Because J-Plasma is not a surgical procedure, it avoids complications and pain often associated with more invasive procedures. It also leaves no incision scars unless done subdermally. Even then, the incision marks are minimal.

  • Dramatic results – Before and after photos show startling improvements. It appears that J-Plasma provides rather dramatic improvements in light of its non-surgical nature.

  • Short procedure – J-Plasma is sometimes marketed as “the one hour facelift”. However, the procedure usually takes less than 45 minutes.

  • One treatment only – J-Plasma typically only requires one treatment for full results, setting it apart from similar non-surgical alternatives.

J-Plasma Cons:

  • Extensive recovery time – This is really the primary downside for the treatment. It claims to be a facelift without the surgery, but the extensive aftercare and recovery time rival that of a facelift.

  • Long wait for results – Some J-Plasma results may be immediate, but full results take months to appear.

  • Redness – Immediately after J-Plasma, you will see a great deal of redness, almost like a sunburn. This decreases over time, but a pinkish complexion may still be visible for months afterwards.

  • Tightens, but only to a certain extent – J-Plasma may help you reduce wrinkles, but despite what proponents say, it is no facelift. Patients with substantial loose skin will see better results from a facelift.

What won’t a face lift correct?

Face lifts can produce a dramatic improvement in appearance for patients with the problems mentioned above. However, face lifts do not stop the aging process; in time, signs of aging will gradually appear once again.

Further, face lifts will not rejuvenate the brow, eyelids, nose, and some of the midface. Patients who want to improve these areas may consider combining a face lift with a brow lift or eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

Injectable soft-tissue fillers, facial implants and skin resurfacing can also enhance the effects of a face lift.

Am I a good candidate for a Renuvion Non-Surgical Face lift?

The short answer is anybody that wants to address problematic areas such as:

  • Pigmented skin on the face

  • Melasma

  • Acne Scars

  • Sun spots

  • Wrinkles or imprinted lines

  • Age spots

How does J-Plasma work?

Plasma is an energy state created by adding energy to a gas. J Plasma is an advanced energy device that combines cold helium plasma with RF energy. The Helium plasma focuses RF energy for a greater control of tissue effect, enabling an extreme level of precision and virtually eliminating unintended tissue trauma. Dr. Janowski uses a wand to gently “paint” the desired areas with the plasma energy.

What is the recovery from a Renuvion (J-Plasma) Non-Surgical face lift like?

Typically two weeks to 1 month.

What are the risks of J-Plasma?

Possible complications of face lift include: bleeding, infection, bruising, uneven swelling or discoloration, allergic reaction to the anesthesia, skin blistering (usually only seen in smokers), and temporary or permanent loss of sensation in the face. Dr. De La Cruz will discuss the risks and benefits of a face lift with you before your surgery. Dr. De La Cruz will also discuss with you which technique would be best suited to your goals and would give the best possible outcome that would give a more rested and youthful face.
