LASER HAIR REMOVAL - HOUSTON

Remove unwanted hair with minimal discomfort! Laser hair reduction is a series of treatments that eliminates hair follicles and leaves your skin hair-free, all the while avoiding damage to the normal surrounding tissue.  In our practice, we have two different LASERS to perform the LASER Hair removal.

Rohrer Aesthetics Spectrum Laser/IPL

  • 810-DIODE laser

    • Features a large spot size, built in contact cooling and a hertz rate of up to 10 pulses per second for effective hair removal

    • This is the most effective LASER therapy for hair removal.  Clinical studies have shown that it is more effective than Nd-YAG and IPL for hair removal.

  • Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

    • Includes 4 filters for non-ablative procedures, including hair removal, acne reduction and removal of vascular and pigmented lesions.

How many sessions of laser hair removal do you need?

  • One will need at least four to nine sessions (varies from patient to patient), spaced about four weeks apart.  You'll see 70 to 80 percent reduction in hair growth after LASER Hair removal. For best results, get maintenance treatments done once a year for at least a couple years.

Is LASER Hair Removal Painful?

  • Laser hair removal using the 810 nm DIODE is PAINLESS unlike other traditional LASERS.   Waxing is painful but the 810 nm DIODE LASER feels like one is having a massage.

Does hair grow back thicker after laser hair removal?

  • Laser hair removal does not make hair grow back thicker. If regrowth does occur after the full amount of recommended treatment sessions, the hair is usually much finer than the original growth and can be maintained with one treatment every six months.

Should I shave my hair before LASER hair removal?

  • Lasers heat hair to damage the stem cells in hair follicles, but if the hair is too long, the laser can burn your skin. ... "Freshly shaved is the best for treatment." If you can't resist waxing, allow hair to grow in for at least one week before a laser appointment.
